Wouldn't it be great if there was somewhere (possibly in our profiles) where we could list all of our story sales?

Meh.

Others might feel differently.

In a way, we already have a semi-formal library in the Publications & Reviews section, where a quick search will turn up any particular username's sales.

Maybe, if people really want to have a place to see who's published and who's not, we could each create a personal thread under our respective usernames in Publications & Reviews and update it whenever we make a new sale, thus creating a more-or-less complete list of our sales there?

[edited to get the section name right]

You could just make another section on the user info/ profile part (kind of like interests).

This is what I plan to do... if I ever make a sale

Someone who doesn't list his sales on a writer's website or announce his sales in P&R isn't likely to bother with maintaining a list on his profile, and the available locations are good enough for marketing. I think a profile list would be a waste of time for everyone.

I more or less agree with aspirit. Most do post their stuff in the already provided publications forum and/or have a website or blog with all that information that everybody has access too.

Now, at Liberty Hall some of the folks do maintain a submissions thread, where they track not just sales but all submissions and activity.

Not to mention there is the current hot topic of blogs (which we can reference in our profiles.)

Does one have to be a blogger to see a blogger?

No. Here's mine http://justinawilliams.wordpress.com/

I don't understand why this would be a problem. Some people will keep it updated, some won't, but does that matter?

Some people will want to know this information, some won't care. And it would be a nice way to promote yourself if you are published because we are all each others potential consumers, right?

well like KDW said theres no way to do it here except on our profiles anyway. I wouldnt have a problem as such with it, but its largely moot anyway.

Or we could do it this way

http://www.hatrack.com/forums/writers/forum/Forum4/HTML/001638.html

which I just put up in the introduce yourself section. I shall endeavor to edit the list whenever I get in.

By the way philo, in the other thread I had a problem with the suggestion of labels, not the listing of sales that you have suggested. Just so you know.

I'm not sure if I would post a list of my sales or not, but I don't see anything wrong with it.

Pyre's blog list seems like a good idea.
