So I got a pre-release, 25th anniversary edition of the WOTF anthology and my wife got one also. So we have two. I thought it would blend nicely with the pay it forward attitude of OSC and KDW if I offered the spare copy as a prize for one of the writing competitions that frequently occur here. It should be blind judging by popular vote and I will send the winner the book. It's only an $8 book but for the next six months it's priceless because you can't get it anywhere until the official release. I'm willing to send it anywhere in the world, I don't mind. So that's my offer if my fellow Hatrackers wish to avail themselves of it.

Want me to run a flash story competition? I'll make it completely anonymous--I did one a year or so ago.

I'd do a flash fiction contest!

I might even give it a try.

That seems unanimous, go for it.

Sounds great, but may I suggest a bit higher of a word count? 2000, 2500, or 3000 words?
Is it going to be a themed one?
Count me in no matter what.

Sounds fun.

I would suggest not getting the word count too high or it will be onerous to critique all of them and vote.

Yes...flash.
