I have been writing steadily for a few months (mostly on my novel) without a day off and I am beginning to feel like I am forcing the creativity a bit. Is it time to take a day off and let the writing percolate?
What are some of the signs to look for to tell you when it's time to take a day off?

A day What? A What off? A What what?

You mean the day that you are too busy to turn the computer on and allow your fingers to stumble of the keys?

I've always though that developing a pace that works for you is a wise but also personal thing; perhaps just ask if you were writing for your 9-5 job would you take the weekend off? Some folks might not, some might. If you've been writing daily for months then perhaps a little scheduled interruption to clear the head on occasion isn't going to break the rhythm.
