This is topic MountainCon 08, Utah--3 Things You Must Learn to Write Killer Stories in forum Open Discussions About Writing at Hatrack River Writers Workshop.
As an ex-bootcamper I wanted to get the word out. Some of you here might find this workshop useful.
Brandon Sanderson and I will be conducting “The 3 Things You Must Learn to Write Killer Stories Workshop” at MountainCon on September 20th in Layton, UT.
Two pros, one night, lots of hands-on learning.
BTW, if you want to bring your lover, friend, or garbage man, do it. Nothing like a night out with good company working your creative brain. And if you get sick of me and Brandon, you can always go gawk at the evil villainess of Superman 2, Sarah Douglas, and the other movie stars that will be there.

Thanks for this great opportunity! Too bad I can't make it. It sounds like it would be valuable, and fun to boot.

The sad thing is that based on geography I can go, but based on timing I can not. Maybe if they get the LHC going faster and discover the possibility of time travel I can jump forward in time to a point where we've learned how to jump backward, hijack the machine like Biff would, and then I could go.

Sounds good John. Your presentation at Conduit this year was excellent. I didn't tell you at the time--didn't want you to get a big head or anything --but for me it was the highlight of the Con.

Christopher,
Ooooh, we loves to hear it was useful.
I think this one at MountainCon will be very good because Brandon will provide another perspective on the three things. I've also made a few changes. I do this each time I run it. We also have 2.5 hours with this one instead of the 2 I had a conduit. A lot can be learned in that extra half hour. I'm looking forward to it.
