I love it when I learn a new word, and now I've found a website that will keep me busy for several hours.

Weird Words: http://www.worldwidewords.org/weirdwords/index.htm

Also includes topical words and turns of phrases. How can you not love a website that lists the meanings of words like: cadastral, borborygmus, deipnosophist, fustilugs, humdudgeon, wobbegong and rhapsodomancy. I believe I shall have to select a new word to replace my old favorite, "plethora".

Of course, I posted that before I actually looked to see what a "fustilugs" really was! Egad!

The first LH flash challenge was the word "utricide", meaning "to stab an inflated goatskin rather than a person."

I've always wondered what "infundibulum" meant!

Very useful site. It's been added to my favorites.
