So...By the end of August, I will:
- Actually finish the revisions to one of my flash challenge stories and research a market for it.
- Begin the re-write process for another flash story.
- Participate in some more flash challenges - critiquing and/or writing.
- Find a new place to live and start subbing again.
1) Start (or even better, complete) a chapter in one or both of my current WIPs.
2) Complete a short story and maybe see about submitting it.
3) Edit my current Saturday schedule so that I have a better chance for writing time.
And off we go!
Actually, no; for one thing, I'll be a year older.
Plans for this month are:
participate in more Flash challenges
polish the output of any workable Flash stories to submittable (that isn't a word, is it? If it is, it probably shouldn't be) status
get critiques out to people who are probably frustrated by my slow response times
become unnecessarily rich so I can quit working and write full-time
Not necessarily in that order
- sign up for the flash challenges
- do more critiquing
- finish the character summaries for my main and secondary characters
- finish my notes on two of the research books I have for my novel
- at least start a short story.
At least one 1K word day.

Sanity is far too overrated.
I'm insane and I'm going crazy. Anybody want to come along?
I plan on getting done the stuff I said I'd do last month. Oh, but I did get in one of my flashes to Quantum Muse. Yip, yip!
I will be done with the first third of my novel, and have my main character give birth... hey births are always exciting.
I will read more writing from other people in my shoes, to help me see other styles. Also, I want to be supportive of others who write, because we all can help each other grow.
I will do more art all together to keep my creative juices flowing. Painted a picture last night actually, which is a good way to help me calm down and think about my novel.
Alexis
-submit my finished short story
-finish the short story I'm working on
-write another short story
-take college classes and try to get some sleep
-- complete my next 3 chapters (6000 words) to my WIP.
-- Start a short story with plans for submission to a paying market.
I find those two things intimidating enough. I think I'll keep my list short and realistic.

I often found those to be mutually exclusive goals. You might need to be more realistic in your goal setting.
Oh yeah, and I'll start writing again. I have a short story on the back burner. I'll start on that one.
- draft - 1/2 hour each day (no editing)
- fiction - 16 hours/week
- have my first fantasy story ready to
recieve feedback
- poetry - 1/2 each day
- study writing - 3 hours/week
- critique - 1 hour/week
In creativiy rising,
John
Hopefully have completed another chapter in the book im working on, and id like to share some of it with all of you when its better put together.
I have an old stack of papers, filled with brain storming about this one idea i conceieved years ago, when I was 14, before the senility started kicking in Id like to develop that alittle more.

I haven't started the revision process for any of my other flashes, but I know which one I want to tackle next, so at least I'm at that point.
I wrote and critiqued for a couple of the flash challenges this month, so at least I'm still producing something. I've been using the triggers to help me sort out some ideas and approaches for a possible NaNoWriMo project.
And I haven't found a new apartment yet, so I will likely continue to hold off on sending out new subs (unless they are e-subs).
Bonus:
I have decided on a story to send to the cliché story market.

I'm still working out a series of false starts on the first chapter. I've got 3 short stories (flashes) written and am about to make a 2nd draft run thru of the 1st one. I haven't figured out what to do about Saturdays yet.
I've got tonight and tomorrow night to better hit my goals!
"Rrrrriiight, how long can you tread water?"
