Hey.

I'm looking to get my short story "The Mushrooms that had Swords" published. It's a light fantasy comedy.

I'm unsure of where to sell it, and where to look to find out. Are there are any other good resources besides ralan.com that I can use? Or do you have any suggestions for me?

Thanks!

Someone posted this before:

It's a sf/f market search engine. Only trouble is it didn't list "comedy" as a genre option... tried it and got lots of options - give it a shot!

Phanto, try checking out possibilities in the WritersWrite.com site for paying markets (http://www.writerswrite.com/paying/). Although they have a humour section, it doesn't seem to fit the bill. The fantasy section is far more promising. With 60 listings, surely one of them would take a humorous fantasy.

Good luck!

Maybe "Writer's Market"? Do they still publish a directory anymore?

Andromeda Spaceways Inflight Magazine looks for work that is light in tone.

quote:
We will accept SF, F & H -- preferably with a dash of humour, but anything as long as it is well written.

And Fantasy and Science Fiction is always looking for humor, at least according to their posts. (Tough market to crack, of course.)
