Did anyone else hear that Phobos has discontinued their annual contest? I need something else to hopelessly send my short stories to now!

Yes, it's true that the Phobos contest has been discontinued until further notice.
I assume you're already sending to Writers of the Future.

Phobos is changing its focus to work with established writers for now. They pretty much found that it's hard for a new publisher to promote new authors. Once Phobos is a better-known publisher, the contest may return. My guess is that it will be several years before that happens, though I'd be happy to be proved wrong.
