I'm planning on writing a story for my website. I understand that everything I write is already copyrighted by me. My question comes down to, how do we get an official copyright of a website? Has anyone done anything similar to this before?

My question is, what are you trying to accomplish by getting "an official copyright" of your website? Unless you think you're very likely to have to sue somebody for infringing your copyright, registering your copyright is going to be a waste of time and money.
