One author I haven't got around to reading. I suppose I should pay tribute and read one of his novels.

I'd recommend MISSION OF GRAVITY off the top of my head. He wrote what is now called hard science fiction, and it is still great stuff.

(I've met him, and he was a fine, gentlemanly person.)

I met Hal Clement, too. Of all the writers I ever met I'm probably proudest to say I met him. He was the real thing.
