I know about Phobos and Future Writers contests.

Are there any other contests that are worthwhile? Preferably science fiction, but fiction is ok also.

Well, for Utah residents there's the Utah Original Writing Competition. No entry fee, and prizes in several categories. Its deadline was in June, but it's an annual competition.

I'm sure many other states have similar competitions.
