In July of 2002, in celebration of reaching 1,000 posts, I (Papa Moose) posted what has since become known as a "landmark" -- a special thread in honor of something. It was a brief autobiography in which I shared some things about myself with the Hatrack community at large.

The idea caught on, and has continued since that time. Not all the landmarks are based on a certain number of posts, not all are autobiographical -- they come in all shapes and sizes, and for a variety of reasons. But as a whole, the Hatrack community decided they were something special and worth saving, so here they are. In this thread the landmarks are listed in the order written, though there's no rule that they must be read that way. (Yes, I'll admit I like having mine at the top. *smile*) "Printer versions" include all replies on a single page, which can make the whole thing easier to read.

The general "rule" at this time is that new landmark threads are added to the list when written, then added to the archive when approximately a month has gone by without a new reply. After the threads are added to the archives, no further replies are allowed.
