I tried for about a week to write a Landmark post of the flavor I love to read, and I just couldn't do it. Some wounds are still too fresh to know how exactly they've impacted me, and I'm sure I haven't even discovered them all. I'm also not experienced enoguh at that kind of writing to say what I want to.
So I'm just going to say the Hatrack was the best thing to happen to me in a long time, and things only got better after I found you all. My best friends are here, and I wouldn't trade them for people that live closer, or like me better, or any other objections everyone I know around here keeps coming up with.
Both wenchcons were almost spiritual experiences for me, and I can't think of anyone I met there that I wouldn't consider a close friend. Chat, as well, has been terrificly valuable to me, helping me rebuild my self-esteem, and making me laugh just when I need it.
Thank you, Hatrack, for all you've given me, and for what you've helped me find again.

Becky, take your time and allow yourself to deepen. It's okay if the wounds are too fresh to revisit and share. You know I love you and I'm on your side, girl!

Okay, dude, I lied. You're just too damn stinking cute to be taken off the list of love.
I praise you constantly in hopes of imagining a blush on the other side of the AIM box, but don't for a moment believe I'm making up my compliments. You are beautiful. You are cute as a bug. And I would love to get with you, as friends, should I ever make it up to your neck of the Canadian wilderness.
You rock, dude. Keep being who you are, and continue helping me look forward to seeing you, Feyd, and the rest (that's right people, you're "the rest") in AIM chat. When we go out for cashews, they're on me.
Man, there must be a dirty joke somewhere in the placement of cashews on me you're going to eat.
Thank god I didn't invite you out for coffee.

Kwisni: I think this was a good landmark, even if it isn't all you originaly wanted it to be.
I really enjoy chatting with you, and IMing you. I look forward to it, and I always notice if you're on-line.
Not everybody has the urge to reveal their insecurities and/or pain publicly. Some times it is too fresh, or still in progress. Sometimes we are still making up our minds about what it meant to us, so we don't know what to say.
But what you did say was how much you loved this place, and what it meant to you to come here.
Alot of us feel the same way....

Kwsni, I love that you found Hatrack, and it was great meeting you at WenchCon, even though I don't think we got to talk much. I'm so glad you're here, and you're essential to Hatrack being what it is.

It's true, what Kwea says.
There was another event I mentioned in passing in my landmark but didn't detail. After eight years, it is still too painful to talk about, though I have contemplated telling about it next time.
Don't feel your landmark is poor because you can't tell us everything. We love you anyway.

You could have just brought us a SHRUBBERY.
Love your sig and your tag line.

Well, after careful consideration, I think we'll keep you anyway.
Oh, hey, there have been some *unofficial* rumors of Hatrack.ca mach 2 Enter the Lego sometime this spring (like, Mayish?) (And by rumors I mean a 30 second at the end of Hatrack.ca version 1.0 and a 10 second conversation between Ophelia and I about a week ago). Anyway, I know you don't know where you'll be once horse school is over, but if you're around drop me a line in some Hatrack/AIM/E-mail form, 'k?
Cool.
Consider this brief derailment complete.
w00t! Go, Horsie! Yay!

considering shubbery was what they called whores in the middle ages (which is what the python joke is all about), I'd say.......no.

Becky,
I hope that I have been even near as helpful to you as you have been to me. I am very grateful for your friendship, it has been awesome.
I know about this inability to write a landmark thing, I have been trying to write mine since February. It's hard for me to find the courage to write what I want, with or without the intention of posting.
Really, this is just a thank you for being around.
( I am so looking forward to seeing you again, tomorrow will be great! )

Becky you're really great. I can tell from your posts and just some brief observations over cyberspace that you're really mature where it counts and you have fun where it counts. Thanks for that and for being around here. I'm grateful that you're here.

Sis, you're awesome! So glad you are around! I hate it that I missed Wenchcon, and the chance to meet you in person. We will definitely make that up some day.
Posted by MyrddinFyre (Member # 2576) on :
Yup, what everyone else said. Hatrack wouldn't be the same without you. Someday we WILL get to have a Fahscape marathon!
Congrats on landmarkage!

You're Canadian?
o_O
I had absolutely no idea. I feel so ashamed... *hangs head*
Posted by kwsni (Member # 1831) on :
Actually, twink, I'm not, but Canadia is only a two hour drive from here. I don't know where Eddie got the idea I'm Canadian.

Becky, I loved meeting you at WenchCon this year, even though we didn't really get to hang out much. It would be great if you could make it to the second hatrack.ca gathering. :-) And I'd say, yes, second half of May sounds probable for that.

Sweetheart, I think about you all the time. Making friends with you has been one of the best parts of Hatrack.

Becky is my favourite person to complain to. She gets, first hand, all my cynical comments about all of you people. Bwahaha!
