Banath is a good addition for any pantheon.
And Lims-Kragma as well.

Sorry to change the subject line, but the spelling was bugging me!

From Bujold's World of the Five Gods:
Mother, Father, Daughter, Son, and Bastard.
Most especially the Bastard, fifth and white, master of all disasters out of season. God of bastards (natch), gays, demons, sorcerers, ill-luck, and all manner of outcasts. Prayed to in propitiation more than supplication with a notably vile sense of humor and whose attention is more often curse than blessing.

He's not as well known, but M. Todd Gallowglas's Grandfather Shadow is pretty darn well-done in First Chosen. Posted by Nummevexo (Member # 13702) on :
ZOG ... one of the Universe first ones & defender of Babylon 5 before crossing the rim ... ZOG image very close to ZARDOZ ... remember Sean Connery who chose ZARDOZ rather than a black taxi?

Lightsong from Warbreaker (Sanderson) - a god who doubted his own religion.

My favorite fictional god is Ares because he is the God of War and son of Zeus. His family ties prove to be a weakness I can exploit.
