Okay after editing my post a thousand times I think I figured it out, something about the parentheses in the address mess up the bb code.

Just type the address in. The BB will hyperlink it for you automagically.

It wouldn't let me do that either. Said something about not allowing parentheses in HTML.

UBB Classic can't handle certain characters in URLs. When that happens, use TinyURL (or equivalent) to create a URL that will work and will go the same place.

I found a different link without the parentheses. It wasn't the page address but a link on the enders game wiki article.
