Need to write a short 2 page report on S. Korean policy issues, anyone familiar with SKorea who can point me in the right direction?

They love Starcraft. Like, they really love Starcraft.
To put this in perspective, the Korean Defense Minister said that dealing with the North Korean aggression was not like a game of Starcraft. His speech did not go over well and he was forced to resign shortly thereafter. You don't speak ill of Starcraft in Korea.
(I am, of course, being facetious that this was the reason he was forced to resign.)
That's about the extent of South Korea knowledge I have. Oh and they have kimchi.

Most of my south korean policy knowledge stems from my fascination with the DPRK as pretty much the most horridly godawful dystopia imaginable and a cautionary tale I want to drill into the heads of impressionable college-age marxist dopes everywhere, so it's a pretty skewed knowledgebase.

Basically I need to write a policy paper on South Korea about its Petroleum policy, does it have a plan if oil production suddenly dropped, etc, is it self sufficient does it have an energy policy etc.
Second page is the environment, does it have a multilateral history of managing pollution controls and does it do significant fishing and does pollution have effects on their stocks etc.

I have to say, I don't know what the answer is, but I suspect it's a similar answer to Japan, which is that they are heavily reliant on imports, but are pushing their heavy industries to be as energy efficient as possible to reduce demand.
When you're done, I'd be interested in seeing your findings.

The machines were out of order.
I don't see the problem or the reason behind the hostility here. I asked if anyone knows anything, could help point me in the right direction. Because every additional bit of information can be considered helpful.
Some of the responses have been quite idiotic and/or hostile.
I, also, quite obviously for anyone familiar with university have access to the online library, but it is difficult to track down the specifics I am searching for.

But Hatrack is a wonderful knowledge base. It's one of the first places I think of when I have a question about something. I don't think it's an abuse of the "Do your own homework" rule to start off your research here. As long as you don't end it here.

I agree. However, for some things, the library is still going to be your best bet. Even in our electronic age.

I think, by being a university policy paper its owned by my institution so I am unsure if I can post it yet, I'll give it a week.

On a related note, since I have rarely ever been lazy regarding finding sources or doing my own university work, I do consider it as having been fairly rude and borderline hostile to rebuff an honest request for supplemental information with "do your own homework".
