for twins!

See the story here

The world record they said is 20, which we had last year before we built a new school and some of our twins moved over there. (personally I doubt that figure...doesn't seem high enough - I mean I've seen some big elementary schools before!)

Yes, one of the sets of twins is mine. [Smile]

Seems strange that a school our size (not all that big, compared to elementary schools in the area) would have so many sets. I don't know enough about the occurrence of twinning to determine why our community would have so many. I think it's more just a function of a growing community with many families with young children moving in. Still....I can think of other elementary schools in towns that are also expanding and attracting young kids and they don't have this many. Another school in the Birmingham area had 16 twins and one set of triplets and it probably has 50% more kids than we do at our school.

Why don't you set the record? I mean, the way I see it... 1 set of triplets = 3 sets of twins! [Wink]

The street I grew up on in Idaho Falls had 7 sets of twins. The street can't have been more than half a mile long, too. Crazy.
