It's kicking my ass, who has it so we can play co-op?

What difficulty are you playing it on? On Legendary co-op is really the only way to go. Its harder than the other Halo games. Even on Normal there were parts I was stuck on for 10 minutes.

I hated the single player campaign. It wasn't gameplay or level design, it was the story. I knew what would happen at the end if you played any of the other Halo games, so it was a complete let down. I was hoping something would happen at the end that would at least let Noble Team have the possibility of appearing in another Halo game. If one is ever made of course. Instead all I got was an ultra cliched storyline and a predictable ending. There isn't even a special ending for beating it on Legendary.

Multiplayer on the other hand is an amazing experience. I've not had this much fun played Halo Multiplayer since the original Halo when we would LAN 4 Xboxes together with a bunch of friends and four projectors and spend the entire night sniping each other.

I'm playing on Heroic, I'm on the mission where your spying on Covenant forces where the active cloaking first appears.

But I'm fairly hamhanded though.

I want someone to play with [Frown]

Keeping my descrepency fund open for Fable 3 and Fallout New Vegas, MW2 has kept me pretty well fps'd for a while.

Is Reach really all that innovative? Ive been hearing that its just another Halo covered Halo with Halo filling.

P.S.

Spikers? no spikers or the equivalint thereof than I have little concern for the game.

In general though it's Halo but alot more gritty and military, like the other Halo's was generally just you going down a narrow corridor this one your part of a team and the mission levels seem generally alot more larger and open ended, the battles leave alot more room for tactics.

...? The brute version of a needler, darker and non-explosive darts. Used akimbo one clip from each could take down most any grunt at close range, they were my favorite in Halo 3.

Yup, pretty much this. I do, however, watch some friends play Halo Reach on our RP nights, and their main complaint seems to be that the maps aren't as big or interesting or cool or whatever as in Halo 3.

It looks fun, but there are games I want more coming out soon. Also, I'm still playing through Mass Effect (again). [Smile]

I think a problem with a lot of the big name games that are coming out nowadays is that the stories are so cliche. The experience of playing through it is great, but the story always goes down like Kool-Aid instead of fine wine.

Gears of War 3 should deliver on the story-line, and on the death of Carmine. If anyone knows the story of Jason Todd the second Robin, putting Carmines life on auction was a death sentence.

I do wish games had better storylines, but look at the amount of books and movies that do not have good storylines. It doesn't mean I don't enjoy them, I would just enjoy them more with a better story.

Story is the reason I loved Xenogears and the Xenosaga series so much. Xenogears still has the deepest storyline of any game I've played.

The problem with Reach is that you know how it ends if you played the first Halo. There is nothing special about it.

****SPOILERS ON THE ENDING***********

So Noble 6 is able to take out the cruiser with the large gun, and the Pillar of Autumn takes off. Then you regain control of Noble 6 while you fend off endless waves of covenant. (Some people were able to survive for over an hour, it doesn't change a thing) the credits roll, (You see the Pillar of Autumn flying towards Halo..Kinda neat) and then you see Noble 6's helmet on the ground with a hole in it, and Cortana's voice gives you a little "We won't forget you" speech, and that's it.

****END SPOILERS***

The story didn't make me care about any of the characters at all. It didn't make me care about Reach, and the game didn't give me the sense of wonder I had when I played the first 3 games. The first time you saw the Flood in Halo, or when you gain control of the Arbiter or see the huge Covenant Mothership in Halo 2, or when you see the Halo production facility in Halo 3 were all awesome. Reach didn't have any moments like that.
