To those who gave their lives for this country I say Thank You.
To those who gave their lives for the freedoms I enjoy every day, Thank You.
To those who gave their lives for something larger than themselves, this dangerous, wonderous, glorious and imperfect experiment called The United States, Thank You.
To those of all colors, faiths, sexes, political beliefs and yes, even sexual orientation, who gave their lives for a country we share, I say Thank You.
What more can I say? Where are the words to express the debt I owe to those who have given their lives so I may live free? "Thank You"
This place is, of course, is not the place to say those thanks. This is just a practice for what I shall say in my prayers, at the cemetery, to the memories of those I am thanking.
