I'm a vocal music director at a high school, and we're wrapping up our run of "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat." I've been trying to figure out a gift for the director - I want something that has to do with the show, but not too expensive, and fairly quickly available. For example, last year, we did "Big River - a musical based on Huck Finn - we gave him a very nice edition of the book Huck Finn.
Any ideas?

I suggest getting together with the cast to decorate a T-shirt with production jokes/and or thank you's with multicolored fabric markers. Dreamcoat optional.

First edition would be ideal.

OOOOH get the techies to make him a wooden crown, every director in history was just fulfilling a want to dominate others anyway so may as well give him a prop.
