I was reading about Google Wave, and it sounds intriguing, particularly since my wife speaks so many languages. She would be able to spot check the instant language translators.
Is anyone here invited into it yet? It is invitation only, just like gmail was at first...

I spent a few days unsure what I was supposed to do with it, but finally got started on a project with some friends. There's a large chunk of a roleplaying system we're developing that I haven't had time to flesh out, and I just posted all the pieces of it that need finishing in a wave, so we can all add suggestions and revisions as necessary.

After using it a bit, my opinion is that there's no particular advantage to google wave unless you're genuinely trying to collaborate on something. If you're just talking, there's already forums and e-mail and facebook that work just fine.
