That would be "Ohio Supercomputer Center". [Big Grin]

...You're gonna be in Ohio? When and where?

Posted by King of Men (Member # 6684) on :

Dude, I live in Ohio.

What happened to NorCal?

Posted by King of Men (Member # 6684) on :

Oh, right, I guess I didn't mention the move here. So yeah. We moved back to Ohio in January of last year, so that the Queen of Men could finish her degree.

Makes sense.

Nah, in retrospect, finishing a degree in journalism at this time was not a really great investment. [Big Grin]

Hrrm? Slow news season?

Posted by King of Men (Member # 6684) on :

Dude. Print news is failing left, right, and center.

Posted by Tinros (Member # 8328) on :

...That makes a lot more sense now. Where is she getting her degree?

Posted by King of Men (Member # 6684) on :

She's done. University of Cincinnati. The correct question is, where is she getting her job? The answer, my friend, is blowing in the wind... the answer is blowing in the wind...

True. But plenty of people with journalism degrees are doing well with non-print news.

Right now is a tough time to find a job in almost every field.

Yes, thank you, we know. The job search has not been limited to print magazines, I assure you.

You're not the only ones looking for jobs. Jumping down someone's throat when they attempt to empathize might not be the best way to go.

Unless you're trying to remind me not to bother. [Razz]

I hope she finds one soon, and I don't think her degree will go to waste, even if it doesn;t pay off as soon as you'd like.

Welcome to the midwest (not that I live there these days, but still), BTW. What do you think about it?

It's ok, I guess? I've yet to live anywhere that particularly depressed me or made me happy just by being that place. Most of my intellectual life is online anyway, so my physical location doesn't matter too much.
