The hubby and I are heading to Disney the first full week of Oct. The school I work at sponsors a trip every year for kids to go - its a fundraiser for one of the classes. They charter a bus, we leave the night before and drive all night, play from open to close, get back on the bus and drive all night home.
Last year I went as a chaperone, this year I'm going and will help as a chaperone but will mostly be on my own. I plan on walking around Downtown Disney this time. Last time the kid I was in charge of (one of our special needs kids) didn't want to go over there. What should I not miss?

Hee hee - sounds good to me!! Last year since I was chaperoning a student I felt like I needed to let him take the lead and we rode and rode and rode and played all day long and I was beat! This year I suspect dh will want to take a few breaks anyone up for meeting?

I'd love to, but Disneyland is rather rich for my blood. Somewhere nearby ok?

We met people at downtown Disney for dinner. It didn't work out very well. We didn't have reservations and the wait time was ridiculous.

I was hoping for a Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, since that's the only place in Anaheim (that I know of) with kosher food . . .
Well we won't have a car so it would be a bit challenging for us to go outside of Disney/Downtown Disney...
Could we make reservations somewhere in Downtown Disney? Is there someplace we could just meet for a quick bite? I have no idea what is there.

Well I am a bit hesitant to leave the area because even though I'm not an official chaperone and won't have formal responsibilities I do need to be available if something comes up. What is close?

There isn't anything closer than the CB&TL I linked to earlier. However, there is a Haagen-Dazs at Downtown Disney, it appears.
