Y'know, someone who married before becoming a Hollywood star and remained with the same person until his death probably had something really going for him on a personal level.

Farewell, Mr. Swayze.

I didn't realize two years was the norm for pancreatic cancer. I thought six months to a year was about it. Maybe people are starting to catch it earlier?

I very much admire the dignity with which he handled his life and career. There went one of the good ones.

Ya know.. his wife actually was the female lead in a movie with him [Wink]

But yeah, by all accounts he was an awesome person 1st, a movie star 2nd. I've loved every movie I've seen him in.

True... They were apparently both in "Steel Dawn" in 1987, according to imdb. But they married in 1975, just to clarify.

He was doing so well! Everyone was so proud of the progress he was making with recovering from his cancer!! [Frown]

That's so sad.

My favorite Patrick Swayze moment has to be the Chippendale tryouts dance off with Chris Farley.
