Wow, I read the thread title and thought, because RIP wasn't capitalised that it was rip as in attack! But this is worse.
He was a genuinely funny man.

I was saddened to hear of this. He always seemed classy and genial, and he and Carson definitely etched a place in my memories of growing up.

Rest in Peace indeed, Mr. McMahon.

Fixed the title. He spent 23 years in the Marine Corp.

He got all the way up to Brigadier General. Not the kind of position I'd expect the "Greatest Sidekick" to have achieved. General McMahon.
