In my defense, I only read the newspaper in question for the comics; the serious newspapers don't carry the good ones, for some reason. But this headline caught my eye: "<Local female B-celeb> has had sex with girls." Gosh, how interesting! So have I, and I wasn't even drunk at the time, as the article alleges whatsherface was; is this news? Sheesh. Fourth estate, bah, humbug. [/rant]

This was a newspaper? Not People magazine, or "In Touch" or some other parasitic rag?

Yes, here's the link, although it's definitely on the bottom tier of newspapers.

I see.

It seems like most of the time any publication that would stoop to headlining "OMG lesbian!" has gone entirely to the gossip or lifestyle format. That's in the U.S., though. I guess it makes sense that some publications are a hybrid of real news and celebrity gossip. Shame, though.

It's got the best comics, though. [Smile]
