Air quality is BAD. I am debating whether or not my daughter will be going to dance class this week-- they're advising we lay off even indoor vigorous activity, but her studio has central air with filtration so I'm not too worried. We're definitely not walking a mile to the library afterwards as we often do, though. I hope her little friend from dance class (and her family) who live in Sylmar are okay...
Last night I had to use my inhaler because the smoke was so bad, even with the windows closed and the air on; I was up all night as a consequence of all the albuterol running through my veins. Luckily the kids chose that as a morning to sleep in and I was able to get 6 or 7 hours after I finally crashed at 5:30.
How are the rest of you all in the L.A. area breathing (and otherwise faring?)

Definitely triggering an increase in allergic symptoms. I'm just glad I haven't had any seminars to drive to since the fires started, which would almost certainly mean getting closer to the fires.

When will you people figure out that man was clearly not meant to live in the American Southwest? Posted by Selran (Member # 9918) on :
I work in Sylmar and the smoke smell is still really strong, especially just before the 14 merges with the 5.

There are few things on which your response is more predictable, Tom.
It's worse than when someone mixes up "agnostic" and "atheist".

hmm, the stuff up in Santa Barbara is almost completely gone.
Are there still Santa Anas, since it is blowing west?

I think there were when that pic was taken. But at this point they are (finally) dying down. Hopefully.
