Howdy.

How are you?

Good to see nothing really changes.

9/11. Katrina. Iraq. The Next Great Depression.

And OSC is still a ship that can't even alter its course one degree.

It is all the evil american hating democrats fault!

BUSH HAS DONE NO WRONG

He's the Modern Abraham Lincoln.

Yeah. And Hannah Montana is the Modern Jimi Hendrix.

Meh. I called this 8 years ago and I started writing a screenplay
about it 3 years ago.

Woot. Go me!

Did you know the 15 richest Royals on Earth,
who all happen to be muslim sultans, or muslim shieks,
saw their net worth go from 90 billion to 144 billion last year?

Oh. And the top dude could own up to 20% of America's real estate! Love those FREE MARKETS!

It is the 1.5 trillion dollar shipping fee i have a problem with.

Maybe I should just consult the nearest MEGA CHURCH and have them consult their head dude who's got access to the Gold GOD phone, he could tell us what to do.

If there are two things Republicans are TOTAL experts at
it is Jesus and the Economy.

I have now suspended my role as a commentator to work on fixing the economy.

I missed you,

THOR

PS. We should give Auto Companies more than $25 billion. Give em as much as they want. Who could have seen that following a HUGE VEHICLE model for so long would end in such pain. Who knew there would ever be an energy crisis? Surely not the car companies, they were too busy working on how to fit a small townhouse on 4 wheels.

Perhaps the screenplay will be done in another 13.......

Too bad it probably won't be readable. [Wink]

Welcome back....good to see OSC isn't the only one who hasn't changed much.

I actually think we are closer to corporatism then capitalism. I am getting frustrated by the debates and choices presented to us as a battle between socialism and capitalism (where capitalism has failed and socialism will rescue the day...ie current crisis) when they are actually talking about the failures of corporatism.

I went off to find the "OSC, I challenge thee" thread, but no luck. seems to have slipped off the radar. I did find a bunch of parody threads though.

How are you?

I am telling you kids.

You should have let me run this place.

I am The King of America.

I could have done so much better.

Because, seriously,
deep down at the bottom of my heart,
I want a better quality of life for every living creature
on Earth.

And with a heart like this,
I'm not sure how much more I can take.
1.5 Trillion dollar Corporate Bailouts,
American Women microwaving their babies to death,
15th year of the boy band catastrophe.

AND I REALLY MISS HEATH LEDGER

sick of this shit hole

thanks for the hug.

I needed it.

FADE IN

EXT. THE SCHOOL OF THE SWORD - DUSK

It is one of Earth's greatest works of architecture.

Timeless and ancient, its fortress like walls protect the
campus spread out on plateaus that split the tropical
mountain's many waterfalls.

TITLE CARD - North East Asia: 2012

THE COUNCIL, eight old men dressed in gold and jeweled
robes, slowly make their way up the bridges that connect
the campus sections.

Behind them, a few HUNDRED SAMURAI follow their path. The
Samurai are all dressed in formal silk Robes: each one
brilliant, bright, colorful and unique.

We SWOOP down to last group in the pilgrimage and drift
to the only female amongst the mass of men.

GRACE Y SAN LA YAMATO is beautiful, majestic, radiant and
12 years old. Her robes are emerald green, with silver
and white trim. Her two swords are tied off with pink
silk ribbons. She is led by THE DIAGORO BROTHERS, who
radiate the aura of "complete and total badass
asskickers".

We follow them to the Temple at the top of the mountain.

She climbs the Temple's white marble steps. Huge green
curtains billow over the edge. At the top of the steps,
the Samurai bow then turn back to the stairs, climb down,
pull a candle from their robes, light it, set it on the
bottom step and then return to the Temple.

INT. TEMPLE - (((CONTINUOUS)))

The SAMURAI gather and sit around the OLD MAN IN THE
MIDDLE.

OTI OGAMA is 103 years old today. He looks fifty. Grace
reaches the top of the stairs. Oti's eyes lock in on her.
She smiles and bows. To her confusion, Oti waves her
over. She looks to the Diagoro Brothers, they nod.

The other SAMURAI look surprised.

OTI OGAMA
Would you deny an old man a hug on
his day of birth?

She crosses the Temple, passes all the kneeling Samurai
and Oti hugs her tightly.

OTI OGAMA (CONT'D)
(whispering)
You must possess the strength of
the Oceans and the energy of the
Sun.

He whispers something else in her ear and kisses her on
the forehead. In shock, she turns and walks back to her
place. The Council glares at her.

OTI OGAMA (CONT'D)
Grace Y San La Yamato is Asia's
Great Goddess re-incarnated.
The COUNCIL begins to RUMBLE in protest but Oti's voice
grows in strength and volume with every word he speaks.

OTI OGAMA (CONT'D)
The school's purpose is fulfilled,
it is here by dissolved.

The Samurai GASP, The Council YELLS in protest.

OTI OGAMA (CONT'D)
Grace is your heart, your nation
and your Queen now. Follow her to
the end of the Earth and beyond.
This disbands The Council. You men
are now free to pursue your own
interests.

The COUNCIL MEMBERS are SCREAMING with hate.

COUNCIL MEMBERS
Blasphemy! Are you drunk old man?
Have you forgotten your place?
Senile fool! You have no power!
Arrest him!

Oti turns to the COUNCIL, his voice BOOMS with inhuman
THUNDER.

OTI OGAMA
YOU! False prophets who have
traded the future of your people
for an ounce of gold and an extra
hour? Karma awaits you with angry
hunger.

COUNCIL MEMBER #1
LIAR!

COUNCIL MEMBER #2
It is you who conspire with the
devils of the West. You have
brought this upon us!

GRACE
(powerful)
SILENCE!

We turn to reveal out of 500 men, only Grace and Oti are
standing.

EXT. THE SCHOOL OF THE SWORD - NIGHT - (((CONTINUOUS)))

The last rays of the sun disappear. DARKNESS advances.
SHADOWS crawl. EVIL is afoot.

INT. TEMPLE - NIGHT - (((CONTINUOUS)))

OTI OGAMA
My Children! Forever stay true to
the light of the universe. It
shall never fail you.

Ready for battle, the Samurai rise. The Council run for
their lives.

EXT. THE SCHOOL OF THE SWORD - (((CONTINUOUS)))

1000 NINJA'S pour in from all angles. Diving. Running.
Jumping. Catapulting. Parachuting. Jet-packing.

EXT. TEMPLE (((CONTINUOUS)))

Grace is the first among the Samurai to reach her
position, the rest of the Samurai fall into formation
around her on the last step of the Temple.

A flood of NINJAS charge with every melee weapon known to
man.

The obvious affection earlier in this thread confuses me, if his original net persona was anything like the recent ones.

I think he was less aggressively political in the past. Less obnoxious? Subjective of course, but I sure don't think so. He did get a lot of slack in the past for 'wanting nice things' though, I think.

Posted by rivka (Member # 4859) on :

I should point out that I only know of the posts under Thor's original handle by rumor and fable. The Silverblue Sun was largely too incoherent to be nasty, IME. If he was nastier in his previous incarnation, I have no actual knowledge of it.

Hey! There IS a plus to marijuana use!

My father died of alcoholism and my long time girlfriend cheated on me when I was on his death bed. My world fell apart as the world fell apart. But now, thanks to the Churches and the Politicians and the Corporations. I realize that this world does not matter, it is all about the unborn life and the after life. The best way to prove you are a good person is by making a lot of money. Money lets you do more of the Lord's work faster. So the more money you have the more of God's work you do. Movies don't need me. Madagascar 2. High School Musical 3. and Saw 5. I should have tried to be a reality show producer, or a count down show host. I will now try to carry and spread the message to all children from preschool to college, forget being a teacher or a policeman, what the world needs now are more investors and money managers. This is where our brightest minds can serve people best.

This is not true. Marijuana has no positive effects or uses. It is a crime and a serious sin. People who use marijuana are evil and belong in jail. If you know anyone who has ever used it, report them to the FBI or CIA or homeland security. Marijuana is the 2nd greatest problem facing our world today, it is a mockery or families and an affront to God. Marijuana usage should bring the death penalty. We cannot sleep soundly until the war on Drugs is won. If drugs win, we all lose. I know the liberal media are total liars when they say our last 2 presidents and our coming president smoked marijuana. They are trying to say that you can smoke marijuana and be President. But this is not true, Marijuana kills brain cells, gives the devil control of your mind and body, and rots to soul. The greatest think marijuana users ever did was make liscense plates in jail, and 32% of those were mispelled or with errors.

The economy is fine.

Money doesn't vanish it just shifts.

So if $3 trillion dollars leaves the stock market and goes into the pockets of a few men, those men will create jobs, and all people who want a job will have one.

Hard workers will be wealthy and lazy people won't.

It is that simple.

We're giving Banks, Mortgage Companies, Car Companies and Insurance Companies money that Bill Clinton made them lose.

The more money we give them the better society will become, the more money we invest in the Stock Market, the more we will all have more.

It looks like you never took econ. 101.

Money does vanish. When the value of the stock market drops, that money doesn't end up in anyone's pockets. In effect it just disappears. The market value of a stock (or a house, or a car, or any other item) at any point in time is in essence a "hypothetical" based on what people are willing to pay to buy. Hypothetically, if you had chosen to sell your stock in Microsoft on Sept.2, 2008, you could have sold your shares for ~$27. If you chose to sell them last friday, people were only willing to pay ~$21. Who got that $6/share amounting to billions of dollars --- nobody. It just disappeared because people aren't willing to pay as much for Microsoft stock now as they were 2 months ago.

Uhh... I think he was being sarcastic Rabbit. Everything he's said in here has been absolutely dripping with pissed off sarcasm...

...and frankly I kinda agree with it.

Edit: I mean it's over the top, but the anger and frustration in the way our country, government and economy have been heading certainly ring true with me...
