At one particular tech site I happen to frequent, the subject of OpenID comes up pretty regularly, and I find that there is a large group of people who keep saying that Open ID is too difficult for users.
Now I know that Hatrack is hardly representative of normal internet users, but it is a lot closer than many of the other sites I tend to visit (which generally tend to draw a more technical crowd).
So have any of you used it before? If so, what was the experience like for you? Also, do you know of any less computer savvy family members or friends that have used it? How did it compare with a normal id registration for them?

Extremely simple! But then I already have a LiveJournal account. I can't speak to the experience of those signing up for the first time.
