Remember way back the the first paperback edition of The Talisman was released? "Soon to be a major motion picture" the cover proclaimed.

I see that on my copy of Bug Jack Barron. Which would have to be massively updated at this point, but which is still one of the best books I've ever read.

Last I saw, The Talisman is being made as a miniseries (SciFi or ABC, probably) with an eye toward Fall 2009 broadcast. I heard Frank Darabont being kicked around as a likely director.
