Michelle Obama has been under much scrutiny since she famously said, "For the first time in my adult lifetime, I'm really proud of my country."

In a statement issued by his campaign Obama said, “Michelle is a true patriot. She has put the outcome of this presidential race and the future of our nation ahead of her happiness and our marriage. I hope her devotion to this country is never questioned again. The campaign will miss her terribly, and we are extremely thankful for her dedication and service over the years.”

Speculation has already started over who Obama will pick as his new wife. In a poll taken immediately after the announcement Hillary Clinton topped off the public’s list of possible wives. Followed closely by Jessica Alba.
