Proof that in the elevated circles of the Hollywood studios there is some powerful drug taking going on.
I mean, I can't imagine a scenario where someone says something along the lines of "...yeah, and like there's this king of a tribe, and there like all, uh, chihuahas. Yeah, yeah, like little dogs. And he comes to live in Beverly Hills..." that does not include chemical abuse of some sort.
My fear factor for the Hobbit movie has moved into the Red Zone...

Meh, a movie like this goes two rungs BELOW the Harold and Kumar sequel. It'll make $15 million from the morbidly curious, and somewhat will get fired. And yet still someone will make a direct to DVD sequel to it, and THAT guy will get fired too.
My fear for the Hobbit is still at the normal yellow alert amount. If Toro goes through Weta and it's scored in London, which I can imagine he'd be okay with since he's made as many foreign as domestic films, then I'm okay with it. Jackson made most of the LOTR outside of Hollywood. It was filmed outside, the digital work and conception work was all done in NZ at Weta, and it was all scored and recorded in London. Hollywood was just a piggy bank for them. I'm starting to wonder if more movies shouldn't be made that way, but that got us King Kong, so, six of one...

Hmm. As funny as this is, I have a traumatic experience with chihuahuas today.
*traumatic experience below, not a joke, not something funny*
I was at the mall, paying a bill for my mom. And I walked over to the escalator. Well, a trio of teenagers were on it, and they had a chihuahua with them. A tiny little thing, they set it on the escalator, thinking it would just hop over when it got to the end.
It didn't. It's paw got caught in the escalator, and it started screaming. The woman, I guess it's owner, started yanking on the poor little dog, by its torso, to pull it out.
Well, after like four or five hard yanks, she got the dog free. I can't imagine the damage done to it's little front leg... pulled as hard as it was. They didn't even stop the escalator, and it seemed to be screaming even louder after they pulled it out. I'd be surprised if the leg wasn't broken or dislocated or something... and then there's the fact that it was bleeding, a bunch of drops of blood ended up all over the ground.
Well, at that point, they decided to rush the dog to help, and as they ran to the exit, the dog was screaming the whole way out...
and, well. As I said. Traumatic. Stupid people...

I know it was bleeding, and the injury was obviously not minor. But yes. I got to witness something truly horrible, there.
