Warner Brothers has approved a budget of 200+ million to bring Larklight to the big screen. I've read Larklight. It's a charming mix of middle-grade adventure, alternative history, Robert Louis Stevenson, Planetary Romance, Steampunk, and classic Victorian SF.

It's just begging for a film adaptation. Hopefully it'll go over better than Treasure Planet did.

That's a pretty good sized budget. Is this going to be their big CGI/Fantasy release of the year?

Yeah, it's planned to be a 2010/2011 tentpole.
