So I've taken some spanish through highschool and now the AP test is coming up and so I'm working on keeping my spanish sharp through this third timester sans( or sin) spanish. So any recommendations of good movies in spanish?
Also, I just like knowing the language, it's not just "for the test" or anything. But hearing as much as possible can't hurt.

Well, a lot depends on what you like and what you’re willing to watch.
The first two movies that jump to mind for me are Pan’s Labyrinth (Guillermo del Toro) and Volver (Pedro Almodóvar). They’re both fairly recent and extremely well done movies. Volver is probably my favorite Almodóvar, but he’s done plenty of others that are worth checking out.
A couple other movies to throw out there are Amar te duele (Fernando Sariñana), which is kind of a modern-day Romeo and Juliet; Abre los ojos (Alejandro Amenábar), which is much superior to the Hollywood remake, Vanilla Sky; and Lista de espera (Juan Carlos Tabío), which is about people waiting for a bus that never arrives.
Lastly, there’s Amores Perros (Alejandro González Iñárritu), Y tu mamá tambien (Alfonso Cuarón) and Lucia y el Sexo (Julio Medem). I love all three and think they’re fantastic movies, but they’re definitely not for everyone – they’re sexually explicit (especially Lucia y el Sexo) and Amores Perros is extremely violent. So be warned.
I will say that I’ve heard great things about some of Medem’s other movies, especially Los Amantes del Círculo Polar. I also believe they’re less explicit, but not having seen them myself, I can't say for sure.

In one of my Spanish classes, we just finished watching La Historia Oficial, an 80s Argentinean movie made just after the end of the Dirty War.

If you can find it, try El Milagro de P. Tinto, I think it's one of the funniest films I know - in any langauge. It's splendidly silly.

Pan's Labyrinth was fantastic, in my opinion. But the Spanish accent in that movie is exceedingly thick and may be hard to understand for a novice Spanish speaker.

I've seen pan's labyrinth and Volver. I thought el laberinto was fantastic, Volver I didn't care for too much.

We watched Valentin in my spanish class. The accent is nigh-indecipherable, but it's a cute movie.

OH I got one for you. Nueve Reinas. Starring one of my favorite actors, Ricardo Darin. The director is really good and he did a movie called The Aura, also starring Darin, just before he died which I haven't seen yet.
!Ay Carmela! is pretty good too. Very powerful ending.
