So im walking to my 3:30 class, and i see a Yoo-hoo can rolling across the sidewalk. and then the nostalgia hit me. i used to love drinking Yoo-Hoo. i always thought it was weird to put it in cans, since it made me associate it with soft drinks or sports drinks. its more of a comfort drink. i wonder what Yoo-Hoo tastes like hot? man. if there was a Yoo-Hoo in any vending machines here in the business building i would probably buy one just to remind myself how it actually tastes.

haha, ok that is all. just something nice to think about since it's a long walk.

Why does Squidward only have 6 appendages?

How many appendages would you expect someone named "Squidward" to have?

Eight. Obviously. Or am I thinking of Octoward, his cousin?

The truth

quote:
Squidward Tentacles is said to be an octopus by the creators of the SpongeBob SquarePants,[1] but refers to himself in the show as a squid.[2] He also has six appendages like some species of squid. Squidward is known in the series for his selfish and unenthused personality and belief that he is better than his undersea neighbors. Squidward generally uses two of his tentacles as arms and groups the other four into two pairs of legs.

Yep, you're thinking of Octoward. Or maybe his brother Octavian.

I have heard him referred to as an octopus, so I am thinking eight. There was one episode where he turns into an octopus as he is hallucinating that Spongebob is in his bathtub drain and not at work manning the cash register for Squidward.

I've never actually watched Spongebob (and didn't know that that was where the character was from), but given his name and the fact that he possesses six limbs, isn't it more likely that he's supposed to be a squid? Does he have a beak or a conical head?

Seriously Noemon? Sponge Bob's annoying voice is harassing my ears as we speak.

See my link above for answers to this mystery.

edited - I was wrong, it's The Fairly Odd Parents that's hurting my ears. They sound the same.

They should. There's about three people who voice every Cartoon Network show. I'm only joking a little.

Oh, I didn't see your post, Tammy.

But yeah, I've never seen the show. No cable, no sattelite, no antenna, no kids to motivate me to watch it on Netflix--I've managed to remain blissfully ignorant of the show.

I envy you.

Why don't I enjoy streams of consciousness?

Greek inscriptions really suck.

I am also very jealous. Never having to watch SpongeBob is a present in itself.

There are a few CN shows I enjoy. Ben10 was one of them. Teen Titans, early on. And the Grim Adventures of Bill and Mandy.

This has to be the coolest store on the planet. It would be a challenge, but I'd love to be their display coordinator.

^^ Very expensive. Though once I bought peppermint chocolate lip gloss there, which was cool.

Well, you've come to the right place. Historically there has been no shortage of Dune loving here, and if there's one thing we're prone to at Hatrack, it's blathering on about books. Well, no, that's probably not true. Blathering on about books is one of the things we're prone to here.

Films are another. Also, we are prone to doing that re:food. *sigh* come to think of it, culture too. Why, it's almost as if there's a forum about "books, films, food, and culture" here on Hatrack.

Err... A squid has 8 little tentacles and 2 long grabby ones. Squidward does not fit this configuration either... He's just some kind of horrible amputee.

I've been thinking it is almost time to start the Bene Gesserit.

So it does. Why was I thinking six?

Well, until I just looked it up I thought squid had 6 little tentacles and 2 long grabbing ones, but that's wrong. Maybe we're all just crazy.
