So, for Spring Break (first week of March) a friend and I will be going to New York City. We'll be staying with some of my family.

I was wondering if any of you had any suggestions on things we could do or places to visit, etcetera that we probably wouldn't think or know about.

I'm looking forward to it, even if it is going to really cold. And it'll be my first time on a plane, which is probably unimaginable for most of you [Wink] .

I used to live in Connecticut and would visit my brother in Manhattan.

Out of all the things we did, I think a helicopter tour of Manhattan was the most fun. But then, I love to fly and that is the only time I've been up in a copter.

If flying's not for you or it's too expensive (~ $90-100 I think), I recommend the Ellis Island tour.

If you go to the Metropolitan Museum, you must see the Tiffany stained glass windows. I was very moved by them, photos cannot do them justice.

Finally, go see a play--not one of the Broadway extravaganzas but a good drama.

edit: Hmmm, stained glass and Ellis Island might not be great Spring Break fare, more middle-aged stuff that me and my brother did. [Dont Know]

Madame Tussands wax museum. It's pretty expensive, but worth it, and you must have a camera with you.
