I just received my new camera. It is an Olympus E-510. I have waited for two years to get a new camera. Now I just have to wait for the battery to charge.

Nice.

However:

quote:
Only Olympus digital SLRs are engineered to be 100-percent digital.
Uhh, What?

This means my Canon is partially analog? Or is there an internegative inside somewhere?

You lost me there. I got this one because of the image stabilization built into the body and the dust system. Plus, it felt really nice in my hand. If Fuji had a SLR for this price, I would have went with them.

I was down to the Olympus, the Canon Rebel XTI and the Nikon 40X.

Steve's Digicams is a great site for reviews on digital cameras.

Nice. Back when I had regular film-type SLRs, I always had Olympus, and have a fond place in my heart for them.

But my digital is Fuji (and looks a lot like that model of Olympus). But it's older and only 6 Mgpxl.

I had a Fuji Finepix 4900. It was a SLR type camera. I really liked it. I couln't wait to get a real digital SLR.
