is anyone else intrigued by the relationship between Graff and his students? while he is a total ass in battle school, he has unique relationships with ender, bean, and peter. also, in shadow of the giant, he seems the opposite of what he did in Ender's Game when he talks to Ender's Jeesh and all them. thoughts?

This would be better off on the "About Orson Scott Card" side of the forums.

I wonder what I would learn if I asked Card at a book signing whether Colonel Graff ever found true love. [Wink]

"Actually, I always thought of Graff as insectosexual. He had an unrequited love for the Hive Queen."

I think the best character sketch of Graff is in "the polish boy." But essentially Graff is a version of Abner Dune (same job), two personality types that wield power like a scalpel, but do little else well.

*Imagines yet again how awesome it would be to see Ben Kingsley play Abner Doon.*
