All sorts of things but the top things are probably: taking pictures, drawing, writing pretty much anything, being outside, learning new stuff and seeing new places.
No allergies but caffeine makes me wicked hyper and I'm contemplating lying about a high fructose corn syrup allergy for the rest of my life. That stuff is just baaaaaaaad. the end.

Age: 24 Favorite colors: Green is my favorite, followed by other cool colors. I dislike pink. I look best in navy blue, pastels, and chocolate brown. Interests: All kindsa stuff, 'specially reading, cooking, travel, babies... You can probably get a better idea from my posts. Allergies: Hazelnuts, animal fibers (so nothing made from them, please), rubbing alcohol and many scents/perfumes, including botanically based; I also have sensitive skin, so please no soaps, lotions, perfumes, creams of any sort or anything scented at all. Oh, and grass. I'm allergic to grass so if you were gonna, say, weave a basket, please do it from a non-grass plant.
Also, LDS, so please nothing containing coffee, tea (from the tea plant, including green; herbal mixtures safe for pregnant women okay), or alcohol.
I'll log in and do Bridey's under the sn we created for her for easy finding. I'll type Emma's for her when she gets home from preschool and tells me what she likes.

Allergies: Sensitive skin, please no lotions or other bath/body products; also, because of mother's afore mentioned severe allergies, please nothing made from animal fibers or grass.
Please do not send anything inappropriate for a small child, including things that could break or pose a choking hazard. Candy is allowed if it is easily chewable, but please no nuts (although she can handle raisins.) And duh, don't send coffee or alcohol to a baby.

I love to learn about people and places, so something homemade or local to your area would be great, even if "local to your area" means a picture of the biggest ball of string in the continental US (actually, that sounds awesome).

Age: 36, for all intents and purposes.
Favorite color: I like anything that isn't terribly bright. Greens, Blues, Browns and black all look fairly good on me.
Allergies: As far as I know my horse allergy hasn't abated, so last year's "no pony" rule is still in effect. I don't have any food allergies, happily, and there are very few foods that I dislike.
Interests: SF, history (SE Asian, lately, but really my interests in history are pretty broad),PC games, board games, music that I'm unfamiliar with (usually excluding country and bluegrass, though I can handle small doese of the latter), parasites that change their host's behavior, ethology, art, art history, anthropology, archaeology. There's more, I'm sure, but that should be plenty to go on.
I'm very open to getting quirky, interesting things that are unique to where you live (or that are just plain cool, regardless of where they're from), and home made stuff is great too.
No wooden geese, though.
[Edit--I'm going to steal breyer's idea and say that something that you find particularly interesting would be well received, even if it's outside of my usual sphere of interests. Although...honestly, sports bore the carp out of me. I'd try to be enthused about something sports related, but I don't know that I'd succeed.]

Woot! Will the pony be infected with said brain-sucking, behavior-altering amoebas?
And as long as the space pony stays in its space suit, I don't expect it'll trigger an asthma attack. The question is, where will I find replacement tanks of whatever exotic mixture of gasses it breathes?

Allergies: Lots unfortunately. Animal dander (sadly) so don't send me any kitties or puppies or bunnies; scented stuff is probably not a great idea. I am also allergic to metal so jewelry is not a great idea unless it is "hair jewelry". My only food allergy is bananas. I don't drink coffee, but am happy to experiment with most other things. No religious restrictions on food or drink.
I enjoy: Music (classical, Irish, folk, oldies, standards...), theatre, art, history, knitting, books (fiction and non), religion, politics, sex (but I can't imagine wrapping that! or mailing it!). And you all already knew that. I wear a lot of scarves.

Allergies: I really dislike pineapples and coffee and don't really drink alcohol. Also, I'm a strict vegetarian, so please no animal products like gelatin, beeswax, real wool, leather, meat, dairy, etc. Thanks!
Interests: Dance (Irish, tap, modern), the Arctic, Irish everything, theatre, archaeology, listening to languages I don't know, Greek mythology, children's books, playing the piano, songwriting, trees, curling, osteology, silent films, music (especially Maritime/Irish folk and old 1920's-40's jazz/pop). (Really, I'm interested in just about everything I hear about, so don't feel you have to pick something from this list.)

Female, 30 (well the end of November I'll be 30, I have another 2 weeks to be "in my twenties")
Colors: I prefer cool colors (green, blue and purple are my favorites) and despise orange (I'm not fond of yellow or pink either).
Allergies: I have quite a few but I ignore most of them (except bananas and MSG, which give me migraines). After I have my baby, my diet will be somewhat restricted (upon advice from my allergist - no strawberries, tomatoes, and nuts) while breastfeeding her. I'm also LDS, so no coffee, tea leaves (though I enjoy herbal "teas"), or alcohol.
Interests: At the moment, I'm pretty much consumed with preparing for the impending birth of our first baby (a little girl due to arrive on December 18th) and the dramatic change in my life that being a mother will be. I do have other interests though - cooking, music (I have wide-ranging tastes), reading (anything wonderful regardless of genre), dark chocolate, frogs, plants, sewing, and our 3 cats. Someday, I plan to improve my art skills (drawing, painting, etc).

I'm 42. And, for those who can't figure it out from my posts or screen name, I'm a woman.
Colors: Lately I'm favoring earth toned browns and tans, but my classic favorites have always been black and red.
Interests: If you are an artist or into crafts, I'm interested in seeing a sample of your work. Handmade things from someone who enjoys needlecrafts or the arts make wonderful gifts. If your area is famous for <whatever>, I'd love something with local color. But, if you're from Detroit, don't bother sending me a lug nut or something. They have those in New Jersey, too. It's probably a best bet to avoid edible gifts for me, since I've got that double whammy -- trying to reduce my weight, and strictly kosher -- so, unless you send something like fresh fruit, I likely wouldn't be able to enjoy it. And really, I already have easy access to fresh fruit, anyway. I also like pretty things like jewelry, scarves, and other girly-type accessories. I'm almost always feeling too cold, so if you give me something warm -- say a scarf, mittens and the like -- you can be sure they'd be appreciated and would get good use.
Most of all, and the main reason that I like to participate in the gift exchange, is my interest in YOU. Give me something that tells me about yourself. Something that YOU find cool and interesting and will let me get to know you better. Mixing together a CD with your favorite music is a terrific "throw in" that I'm sure to enjoy not only for its content, but also for the chance to learn more about you.
Allergies: Anchovies. But what kind of freak sends somebody that for a gift?

Favorite colors: jewel tones - royal blue, garnet, plum, amethyst purple, and so on.
Favorite scents: mostly food-related like vanilla, cinnamon, but also fresh scents like rain-something, fresh linen, that type. Maybe ocean-something (can't remember specific scents - you get the idea) but not florals - they are usually too heavy.
No allergies, but I'm LDS. Flavored hot chocolates are good (but no cayenne pepper please - I'm still not ready for that )
Reading interests: science fiction and fantasy mostly. Some mysteries - usually thematic such as the Diane Mott Davidson (MC is a caterer) or Lillian Jackson Braun (Siamese cats). I just read "A Tail of Two Murders" by Melissa Cleary, which looks like the beginning of a series, so any of those would be welcome. That was written in 1992, so they could probably be found in a used book store.
More about me: I'm a 46-year-old mother of two daughters (14 and 11). I've been married nearly 25 years. We have 2 cats and 4 guinea pigs. I work at a newspaper as a copy editor/paginator. I enjoy playing Kingdom of Loathing, Sims2 (I've got most of the expansion packs) and mah jong games. I'm not terribly organized ... or maybe I should say I am terribly organized, as in my organization skills are terrible.
I like to scrapbook, but it's one of the things I procrastinate. I like colored pens, journals and notebooks. My hair and eyes are dark brown, my ears are pierced but I usually don't wear earrings. I like kitschy Christmas jewelry (and other kitschy stuff). I have a couple of Christmas necklaces that have a large jingle bell with decorations.
I don't have any real collections of anything specific. I do have one Willow Treefigurine and would like more.
I would be glad to answer specific questions sent to my Gmail account through a third party if my gifter is stumped or needs clarification. I may add more to this if I think of something. My aim is to give my gifter an idea of what I'm like and let them use their best judgment. I've been pretty lucky so far in what I've gotten.
Edited to add: My T-shirt size is 3X-4X, depending on where it's purchased. (Wal-Mart has moved their sizes up - what used to be 3X [26W-28W] is now 4X) So I wear 26W-28W or sometimes 30W-32W. In case my gifter wants to send me a T-shirt. (I'm bringing this up because I might want to send a T-shirt to my giftee, and having sizes listed will help others.)
I like Mary Engelbreit stuff. And Heartwood Creek (which I didn't know the name of, but finally figured out how to Google it.)

Interests: Mountains, SF, history (old maps, priceless manuscripts etc...), music (from industrial-thrash-punk to bluegrass to medieval madrigals and everything in between), I also love cheap folk instruments. Allergies: None, well except turpentine, but it's tricky to mail, so I should be safe...
Regarding food, I'm in Spain so unless it's well packed and very well preserved food is probably a no-no.
I'm open to anything. Local stuff is especially great - something for a study wall (hey, if you're an impoverished student, a college pennant would be great). Books or music are good too - I'm horribly conservative so something to shake me out of my tired worn rut would be fun. Maybe some local tunes?
If you're stuck, send me a picture of your favourite place, so we can share!
Oh, and I'd love a little note to say why you sent what you sent - it makes all the more fun.

Age: 3 Favorite colors: red, orange, pink, yellow, purple (and anything bright!) Interests: Painting, drawing, bubbles, eating, reading, music, playing on the computer, candy, animals, stickers, Superman Allergies: Zinc. Sensitive skin, no creams, lotions, bath products, or anything that goes on skin, please. Because of mother's allergies, nothing made from animal fibers, grass, or perfumed. Please don't send anything breakable or inappropriate for a small child (including small pieces her sister could choke on.) She has a strange phobia of many stuffed animals and dolls, so probably best not to send those to her either.

Ack, sorry for not posting earlier! I got really busy with Real Life and was offline for a few days.
Age: 26
Color: I tend to like blues, greens, non-magenta pinks, and purples best, and I've also been in a brown phase lately. But I like most colors, though yellows and oranges are generally unflattering on me.
Interests: Books, history/biography (especially European), travel and foreign countries, theatre, horses, all sorts of movies and music (not overly fond of rap, though), yarn and other artsy-craftsy things. And quirky/local things are fun.
Allergies: Not an allergy, but really spicy food scares me. And I'm not LDS, so coffee/tea/alcohol is all good with me.

Oh... Well it's not big deal if you can't. I saw this thread and thought it was the sign-up. I wouldn't mind doing it and I'm a good gift giver. But if it's all done then don't worry about it.
