These folks write our comedies, dramas, action flicks, horror movies, documentaries, TV shows, anything that requires writing designed to make the viewer feel something. Millions of dollars are paid to these folks, and billions of dollars are ultimately at stake in this strike.
Yet with all those writers, and money involved, that's the best picket sign they could come up with?
I don't know whether to side with the movie executives, or start working on my own movie script.

You're right. Apart from directness that sign is quite pointless. Its not like they really have to tell anyone that they're on strike. Id say most of America already knows.

I think that is fairly typical. I can't remember seeing any strike sign that said much more than ON STRIKE.
