Nice design.

Fancy.

I wonder why the decided to go with a Spanish inspired styling of armor.

And I wonder what the armor for the others will look like.

It was decided that the pirates the Telmarines were descended from would be of Mediterranean origin.

Here are some pictures of the "Telmarine Soldier" seen at Comic Con.

It's the Conquistadorian helmet, and the style of the pauldrons on Miraz's armor that mostly made me think Spanish. I'd have to see the the full body armor to really get a feel for it.

Looking at the Telmarine soldier, the vest does look a bit more Italian, maybe Venetian to be specific, though really it depends on the time period.

I need to get a medieval arms and armor book, I feel like I should know this.

I think the Hispanic look is definitely intentional.

I'm wondering how Queen Prunaprismia will look, and the Telmarine lords.

I can't believe these movies are coming out.

If they are anywhere near as well-done as the first one...oh man. Particularly Voyage of The Dawn-Treader. Particularly where Eustace becomes a dragon and cries. Also, particularly the end, where Reepicheep gets in his little boat and paddles onward...it touches my heart when he does that.

It's really exciting, especially after those BBC versions my hubby lovingly refers to as "The Lion, The Witch, and Dr. Who".

Oh good Lord, those versions....oh dear...how can I put this nicely?

Their budgets were perhaps skimpy on the special effects.

Was the first movie any good?

It was okay.

Personally I didn't think it was a spectacular adaptation and could have been better, but it was perfectly watchable.

I liked the first film quite a bit, but the book is much better.

Still, since I consider Prince Caspian to be the weakest book in the series, I'm looking forward to the retooled, revamped version they have planned for the screen.
