My webcam arrived today, and I posted a video! I want ideas, critiques, and some guidance on whether or not keeping it up is a good idea.

Thanks, friends, and enjoy ...

w00t! First comment. I don't see any reason not to keep it up. I mean, there's spam and bots and stupid commenters and the like, but you can block or delete them fairly easily. Is there anything that you want to do involving Youtube (besides Vlogs)?

After getting my macbook, I spent a good 5 hours playing with the camera. I basically never use it now, though.

FToaS - I wasn't aware there were that many options. I don't make silly videos with my friends, and other than vlogs, I'm not sure what else there is to do...

No problem. I don't even make videos. But yes, there's a lot of options. Just look at all the different badges you can get (Director, musician, gure etc.) Just enjoy yourself. Having an account does a lot more than let you post vids.

Another one's up. This (I don't even know if it's a vlog any more) is about Turkey's presidential confusion. Enjoy or not, the choice is yours.

Good for you for having the brass balls to publish this.

I'll keep an eye open for new posts.

BTW, I don't have a youtube account, so condsider this a comment... [Wink]

You get your jollies talking about Turkey's presidential problems? Finally, a vlog that makes Tolkien fans look cool. [Smile]

It's a nice, informative blurb. I'd say Iraq before the US invasion was probably just as secular as Turkey. Hell, Tariq Aziz was Christian. But that's neither here nor there. Love the Zelda shirt by the way. You could argue for Jordan, Egypt, and maybe some of the Gulf states too.

Personally I'd rather just read a transcript of what you had to say, as I could have done it in far less time than five minutes. I'd say if you were trying to gather an audience you should speed up the delivery a little bit, which hopefully wouldn't ruin the friendly informal thing you've got going on.

Kudos for getting your voice out there. I wish more people would do it.

I tried blogging on myspace for a while, but I couldn't tell if anyone really gave a crap so I stopped. The YouTube vlogging is just me amusing myself, and I'm very very happy you were engaged at all. I'll keep the speeding things up in mind. Thanks guys!

Latest is on the Patriot Act and Nullification . Watch, comment, share! It makes me happy.

The interest in this ish is so underwhelming I've decided to pump out another vlog just to make myself believe I'm interesting. So there you have it. Unless you don't want it.

I got bored again.

And just because it looks like this thread is talking to itself doesn't mean I'm going to stop!

Here 'tis.
