was Obi Wan/old man in that a reference to certain catholic priests?
Posted by Strider (Member # 1807) on :
He's a recurring character on the show who is always pining after Chris. Nothing to do with religion I don't think.

I cannot wait. That was hysterical.

Strider you are correct, BB here's the history of Herbert:
quote:Herbert – An old gay ephebophile who resides just down the street from the Griffins and impotently lusts after Chris. He uses a walker for support and speaks with a lisp in a high-pitched, comedically drawn out tone of voice. Has a dog named Jessie that moves by dragging itself on the ground. Voiced by Mike Henry His name could be a reference to Humbert Humbert from Lolita. The character was initially created by Mike Henry as a sweet old man, before becoming an ephebophile after Mike Henry pitched a joke on the subject.
- Wiki
One of the best episodes was when he pictured what life would be like if he and Chris were married, I think they took the scenes from Little Shop of horrors when Audry was dreaming of a house with a white picket fence..etc.

That's great! They should do a one hour special for each film in the original trilogy. Maybe air one each season for the next few years. That would be amazing.

They should do about 10 minutes (15 tops) on the whole trilogy. Maybe, you know, for the first time ever actually end something before they run out of good material. That would be amazing.
