Neat story. It saddens me though. Supposedly, NASA has some of the best talent in the country. Why then do they need to have "contests" to come up with new design? It's a rhetorical question, because the answer is obvious. NASA is rec center mentioned in the article. NASA is notorious for using old processes in a new design world rather than adopt new processes.
