Apparently the Jon S Corzine believes that Governor of NewJersey is above the Law, and the police officer acting as his chauffeur agrees. "The SUV carrying Gov. Jon S. Corzine was traveling about 91mph [147kph]...The speed limit along that stretch of the parkway is 65mph [105kph]." It is illegal even for a police officer to speed except in the case of a true emergency.
"The state trooper-driven SUV was in the left lane with its emergency lights flashing when a pickup tried to get out of its way. Instead, it set off a chain reaction that resulted in the crash." It is illegal even for a police officer to use emergency lights to bypass traffic except in the case of a true emergency.
"The governor was critically injured when the vehicle crashed...He apparently was not wearing his seat belt..." It is illegal to ride in the front seat of an automobile without being seat-belted. It is illegal even for a police office acting as a chauffeur to drive an automobile with an unbuckled front-seat passenger.
Yet the governor and the chauffeur decided that endangering other drivers was worthwhile to save a few moments of the governor's "precious time". Then tried to frame another driver for the accident that they caused. "Initial reports of the crash said that the governor's SUV was clipped by a vehicle that swerved to avoid a red pickup truck that officials said was being driven erratically."

I agree with most of what you posted. But saying there was a frame job is a little much. It's certainly possible, but there are other factors. For one thing, the governor hasn't even been interviewed yet.

KPC was shocked when he moved out here and saw one of LAPD's finest turn on the lights and siren to pass a backup and go through a red light-- and then turn it back off once he was through, all the time speeding, then turn in to a fast food line.
I wasn't, I've seen it since I was little. I guess I just assumed all cops do that.
He informed me (having grown up in Dallas) that while it may happen once in a while, it is certainly not the case that all cops do that. Hooray for the LAPD.
