And now all the ones I really want are collectibles.

Anyone know of a good place to find these loose (non-mint-in-box)? (edit: excluding eBay, I'm already looking there) Anyone have some they want to part with? [Big Grin]

In case you have no idea what I'm talking about and want to share in my excitement, Transformers Alternators are all real cars. Unlike the older generation Transformers, these things are exquisitely detailed and have incredibly complex transformations (it took me a good 20 minutes to transform the one I got last night into robot form and back again).

I don't know. I think the best bet for loose ones would probably be eBay. I mean you could find in box ones (mint and non-mint) on some online stores, but if you just want loose eBay is one of the bigger options.

I was impressed with this line. I haven't bought any but I've seen them a few times. Nice details and they look quite cool.

ahh, but to have such a poignant story to look back on years down the road. I think that would make me treasure the relationship all that much more. I mean, nothing spices up a bland friendship like a dash of arch-nemesis...

Try looking up toy and collectible stores that have web listings, call them for inventory, then ask if they ship.

You might try Big Lou's Toys and Collectibles in Culver City, CA, located on Sepulveda Blvd.

Their number eludes me, check the net-y-pages?

As I said in my first post, I don't know about stores that sell loose figures, aside from eBay. If you want to buy new though, there are options. Like this:

13 Transformers Alternators.

Sure it's $100, but you get all of them new. There are similar sites out there as well. Heck, WizardWorld.com might sell them individually new. I'd need to double check to see though.

bigbadtoystore.com still has some left, but I don't know where to get the others. I stopped collecting toys when I started dating the woman is now my wife.

They are quite neat though, I've got 4 of them, I think. If you think they're neat, check out 20th Anniversary Optimus Prime.

Darn you pfresh! I followed your link and saw that Millenium Falcon transformer and had to have it. . but couldn't justify it for myself, so. . . . my son's getting it for his birthday next month when he turns 8. [Razz]

So? So they don't change from a vehicle into a robot, which is what everybody says they do.

Don't get me wrong -- the idea of a robot you can drive is awesome. I mean, who didn't love Knight Rider as a kid.

But robots do not have to be humanoid in shape.
