So a couple years ago, GQ Magazine rated Great Falls, Montana's Sip & Dip the number one bar in the country to fly to. It's a skeezy little place but it has a giant window that looks onto the neighboring motel's swimming pool. So they hire mermaids to swim around in it. Also, Daryl Hannah, when she was in town filming that trainwreck of a film Northfork came by and put on the mermaid suit for everyone one night.

But this post isn't about the Sip & Dip. It's about the number one brew pub/restaurant in the nation to fly to. It also happens to be in Great Falls. It's called Bert & Ernie's. I know I always say, after every meal I ever eat, "That was the best meal I ever ate," but this time it was true. And it was just a stinking cheeseburger! But my, it was heavenly. And it had more pickles than I've had on a hamburger since the high school cafeteria where they let you help yourself out of the giant silver bowl of sloshy pickles.

And I don't even like hamburgers!

So do it. Buy a little ticket to Great Falls. If you come before Thursday, I'll be here, and even after that, you can hang out with my friend Abby. It's a choice you won't regret.

Wait wait wait. I am in Montana and I eat at Bert & Ernie's (in Helena) all the t... uh, well, I ate there once. But it's only a few blocks from my house, if that makes -- well, not a house. I live in a small apartment.

The food at Bert & Ernie's was all right. I'm just excited that there are other hatrackers around Montana and the, uh, greater Montana area. I thought I was the only one.

Yeah, too bad sheep don't have opposable thumbs. Then Montana would be much more well-represented on the internet.

And I love how the menu lists the lower-fat bison burger. Which they proceed to top with bacon and blue cheese.

Brilliant!

It seems like the Helena Bert & Ernie's would have to be in some way affiliated with the Great Falls one. They have similar menus, and the same decor. And the same name. But if there is a connection, why no mention of it on the Great Falls site?

This warrants further investigation.

Hmmmm
