*****SPOILERS!!*****

*****SPOILERS!!!!*****

I warned you.

Admiral Adama, Lee, Roslyn, Starbuck, and Helo are actually Cylons. They are the head models of the Cylon civilization, and are conducting an in-depth scam over the rest of civilization. Of course, there are a few others, not yet revealed, who are part of the "human fleet" who are also Cylons.

The supposed Cylons (the ones we think are the real Cylons) are actually descendants from a group of humans that were randomly taken from various colonies two generations ago, and raised in captivity. Their children were raised and brainwashed, by the REAL Cylons (i.e. Adama and company) to think they were Cylons. An entire race was started from these descendants, and given superior technology. They think they are Cylons, and that it is their mission to destroy the humans led by Adama.

Cylon Adama, the leader of the Cylons, produced this entire deception, since what better way to cover his own identity than to create an entire race posing as his own true race? The real Cylons know that earth actually doesn't exist. Adama is leading the humans to the Cylon homeworld (via the long route), but he says it is called Earth.

Once there, he will reveal his true identity (along with Roslyn and the others). The fake Cylons will realize, through genetic testing, that they are actually human. Their psyche will not be able to comprehend this major contradiction to their ideals and identities. Thus, they will commit mass suicide.

The other humans, who have been led by the real Cylons, will become the new slave population on the Cylon homeworld, where they will be used in experiments to create the perfect cyborg.

Why, you may ask, does Adama put so much effort and risk and time and excessive masks to pull all of this off? Well, it turns out that the Cylons, in their past quests to develop emotions in their skin-job prototypes, accidentally put a little too much emphasis on the emotion of humor. Thus, the Cylons value humor above all other emotional desires.

Adama and company thought it would be worth it to do all of these things so they could arrive at the Cylon homeworld, after extremely unnecessary detours and delays, and say to everyone they fooled: [Laugh]

It turns out that this Cylon/human civilization eventually destroyed itself, though a few humans were able to survive, losing all technology, and we are the descendants of these people. Our own April Fools Day is actually a diluted remnant of the holiday in which Adama returned home with a bunch of bewildered humans and had a really good laugh.
