Posh was running as an advance purchasing agent cuz Beckham got a HUGE offer to play for the LosAngelesGalaxy. We're talking about HowardStern-for-SiriusRadio numbers here: "an offer ya can't refuse" made when venture capitalists are desperate to take things to the next level. Which may mean that the owners are gonna try to push the Galaxy up into the ManchesterUnited/RealMadrid/ACMilan/BayernMunich strata of competition. And LA is probably the only place in the US in which it can be done, in which soccer has a large enough fan base to easily sellout the RoseBowl (90,000+seats).
