Going on three months here with the eye-twitch. Any suggestions?

Non-stop twitching? Or come and go twitching? I've had twitches in my eyes - and all sorts of other places, too - going on three decades...

Pretty much non-stop. More a pulsing.

Considering the last time you had eye problems... Physician? The original and only use for which Botox has won Food&DrugAdministration approval was for the treatment of eye twitches.

aspectre, thanks! It would not be a recurrence of that, though I might end up seeing my doc anyway. This is not a vision thing, it is a nervous twitch. But I just came off a nice vacation where I rested and was not stressed out. And I am not even really that stressed out, so it is frustrating. Egads! Botox!

Three months?! You poor thing! I can't stand an eye twitch for longer than a minute, I can't imagine going through that for three months. Go see a doctor, there may be a less expensive option than Botox out there.

Only reason I ever got the twitches was from a lack of good sleep. But if you insist you got plenty and are not stressed I am not sure what to say.

I'd see a doc. My father had an eye twitch for years, as a result of frequent exposure to dangerous chemicals (he was a dentist), and monthly botox injections kept the twitch under control. Might be a solution, but they're prescribed, so see the doc.

Or, you know, racquetball.

That too!
(Liz plays squash though)

You know, I have not been playing squash, and it probably would take care of the twitch.
I think if I really analyzed my sleep patterns, it would be clear to me that I need more sleep.
I am more tense in general this year, though, and exercise helps with tension. It also keeps me clear, mentally, and I still get a bit fuzz-headed since my illness, so exercise remains a necessary therapy.
I must be in some sort of self destructive rut. Time to kick my own butt.

Well... I have my own eye twitch going on for the past month now. Left eye, lower lid muscles. I really hate this.

My stomach is twitching pretty hard right now, but people tend to congratulate me on it.

Seconded.

Also seconded.

I hate to recommend acupuncture. If it does work, it most certainly doesn't work for the reasons that the practitioners declare.
However, it did work my wife who suffered "wind in the eye" for months on end. Some pricks between the toes and she was permanently relieved.
It is probably worth a try before signing on to botox for life.

Any suggestions for a lip twitch? I've had it since 9th grade I think (I'm 23 now).
